DIY: Denim cut-offs

I have finally decided to cut-off my favorite bootleg denim jeans.

I love this jeans because of its color and fit. I haven't worn this pair for so long because as years went by, it started to be tight that I'm going to have thrombophlebitis; I can't bend my knees for too long when I'm wearing it. But it sure fitted nice and good at my behind compared before! Hee. :D Though I haven't worn them that much since I graduated from high school (but I think I wore them once in college since I ran out jeans to wear), I didn't want to cut them off and turn it into a denim shorts or denim bag. I love this jeans so much that I asked my mom to embellish it with beads back then, which by the way looks tacky now. Haha.

I wore my denim jeans-now-denim shorts to Maroon 5's concert. I'm thinking of putting lace as an overlay on its back pocket, just to jazz it up a bit. Or pearls on the piece of denim where you insert the belt in (I'm not sure how it's called). I don't know, we'll see. :)

Maroon 5 in Manila!

DISCLAIMER: Majority of the photos here are courtesy of my friends, Sam and Pinky. I had a hard time taking pictures because the bouncers at the concert kept on pointing at me and telling me not to use my camera! Hello? The camera that I brought with me was a digital one, the size was just deceiving that it looks like an DSLR. Pfft. Yet these are only some of the pictures and I used Poladroid to give an effect. :)

Maroon 5 invades Manila! :D

These won't be enough justification how great the concert was...

and how freakin badass and (forgive my term) orgasmic Adam was. Yeahhh! :D

What a best way to start the week! :) AAAAAHHHHH! :) But unfortunately, it's tough to be petite. It's hard to see the band when the people in front of me are standing on the chairs, instead of sitting on it! OMG! But I still felt Adam's presence and music. I was floating on cloud nine! He was just sooooo damn good and talented! And when he strummed that guitar --- MY GOODNESS! For the first time, I wished I was a non-living thing - his guitar to be exact. Hahaha! Mara, my concert buddy for that night, were just weak at our knees because of him! I left my heart with him! Chos! Haha!

When he sang 'She Will Be Loved' and dedicated it to the women was my favorite moment in that 2-hour show. I felt like he was really singing that song TO ME, you know. Wahahaha!

With my concert buddy for that night! :D

As Mara and I were about to head out after the concert, someone called my name. To my surprise, it was Alexis! :) She was also meeting Pinky and Sam after the show. So after Mara left, we headed to Starbucks to meet Pinky and Sam for the goof-around-slash-catch up aftermath. :)

OMG. Haven't seen Sam for 6 long years and Pinky for 4 years!!!

I had so much fun that night that I couldn't get over. Haha! Looking forward to watch Incubus with you, friends, in July!!! :)

P.S.
Adaaaaam lovvvvve, when are you coming back? Bring my wedding ring when you come back and marry me! AHAHAHAHA!

I ♥ Maroon5! :)

Immorality, I think, is based on three fundamental things:

1. How your parents raised you; your moral values
2. Fear and faith in God
3. Self-respect.

I wish na sana kahit man lang self-respect meron ka. Kahit yun man lang. But then again, I wonder why weren't we really surprised?

DIY: Neutral wrap heel

I almost forgot to blog about this! But here it is! :)

Originally, I was inspired to do this when I watched Material Girl over ETC. The lead girl in that series was going to have her first fashion show but on the day of the show itself, she found out that the shoes that she got for her models were a size bigger. To her rescue, her mom tied ribbons on the shoes and towards the models' ankles.

Two weeks ago, I was browsing one of my favorite blog, P.S - I made this... and saw this picture below.

WELL, HELLO CREATIVE BULB! :)

I grabbed my nude, slightly-bigger-shoesize heels and asked for my mom's old skintone stockings. Then voila! My own neutral wrap heel (just thinner)! :) I wore this when I went to Menswear show on Philippine Fashion Week. :)

You all get the point. Just don't mind the crappy shot of my feet
in front of my bedroom door. Haha. :)

Makulay by Rags2Riches and Oliver Tolentino

My uncle and his team did the technical part in this show that's why me and my cousins were present. :) This eco-ethical bag collection were made by Oliver Tolentino and women of Payatas. Looking closely, we can't help but to be amazed how thoroughly the bags are made. The way it was crocheted was very intricate. Love it! :) My uncle said that after the night's show, there were a lot of bag orders! Of course, we didn't miss the newspaper-made dresses of the models! The creative minds behind these dresses were Kaye Morales, Camille Co and other SoFA alumni and students.

Random shots with my cousins! :)
After the show, Tito randomly bought us espadrilles! Yey! :)

We had dinner afterwards at... Good Earth? (Haha. I forgot the restaurant's name, sorry.)

What an eco-chic night it was! :)

The Philippine Fashion Week Experience III

Disclaimer: This is not the same with the two previous entries. I just gave it the same title but it's about WHAT I MISSED in the shows that I wasn't able to watch.

Yvonne Quisumbing and Lyle Ibanez

I wasn't able to watch this show because I was too tired that night and my cousins have to go home before midnight because Kurumi still got schoolworks to do.

Anyway, I was still updated with the show through Style Bible's Twitter account. (I wonder who owns that account. She tweets fast! :D) I looked for more up close photos of the clothes through Style Bible's site and copied some of my favorite pieces. Personally, I love dresses with soft and 'flow-y' fabric. I love the way it moves when the air blows. When I do wear a dress that has a 'flow-y' fabric, I just feel like a goddess. Haha! :D

Forever 21

Yeah, I knooooow what you're thinking!

"But whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy did youuuuuuuuuu miiiiiiiiiissssssssssss thaaaaaaat shooooooowwwwww????"

No amount of explanation for the reason of "I-got-lazy-to-watch-because-I-have-no-one-to-watch-it-with" would suffice right? But I gotta say, I was already dressed up and about to leave the house when I changed my mind at the last minute. Talk about the effort in dressing up! WHATTHEHELLRIGHT? HAHAHAHA!

Anyway, I got the pictures over Status Magazine and Style Bible (yet again! :D). I chose my favorite and savored the would-have-been moment browsing through the photos. Hahaha!
