I'm crazy over Aztec, tribal prints. I actually bought a body con dress recently that had that print on it. I had sort of predicted the arrival of this trend, I don't know if you had read that entry, in the portfolio that I made when I tried to apply for a scholarship last year.

I wanted to try this bralette trend. I think I once said to myself that I will never pull this kind of top. But I'm taking back what I said because I'll never know till I try. I can be fickle-minded like that. Haha!

Classic way. Who would have thought you can wear this at the office. Just don't forget to cover it with cardigan or a blazer or you'll probably be reprimanded by your boss. Haha!

Bohemian style. I believe cropped tops are actually owned and popularized by boho chicks. For a summery vibe, you can pair it with a bright maxi skirt or florals (as you can see on the first photo). For a chic look, use neutral or muted colors like the on second photo.

I am not a sneaker-freak kind of girl. But I do love, wear and appreciate them every once in a while. I am actually looking for a rusted-color, velvety, high-cut Adidas sneakers. I saw it worn by some girl I met during one advocacy in Laguna. I tried looking for it on the Adidas website but these two pairs are the closest thing I can find. I love the touch of gold and sleek style, though. :)

I am lusting for this white Mango blazer! It's somewhat expensive so I might look for an alternative that has almost the same quality and look. While saving for it as well, just in case I cannot find an alternative.

AND CAN I JUST SAY THAT I LOVE HER HAIR? I had my curls chopped off almost a week ago. My hair now looks closely like this, slightly longer on the front tips. But when I saw her photos, SHE MAKES ME WANT TO DYE MY HAIR BLONDE. Oh my gosh. Hahaha!

And oh, my brother just turned 20 last Wednesday! :)

I unintentionally made you cry one day when you were just a few months old and that's when my 'sisterly gene' was ignited. Having two brothers isn't so bad at all. 5. Three Reasons to Travel While You're Young 

I told her to travel. Hands down. No excuse. Just go.

She sighed.

“Yeah, but…”

Never were more fatal words spoken.
“Yeah, but…” is pernicious. Because it makes it sound like we have the best of intentions when really we are just too scared to do what we should.

It allows us to be cowards, while sounding noble.

Most people I know who waited to travel the world never did. Conversely, plenty of people who waited for grad school or a steady job and traveled still did those things — eventually.

Be careful of the yeah-but. The yeah-but will kill your dreams.

So if you still have a reasonable amount of control over your circumstances, you should do what really matters. Because life won’t always be just about you.

During early adulthood, your worldview is still being formed. It’s important to steward this time — to give yourself opportunities to grow. A good way to do that is to travel.

So, young person, travel.

Travel wide and far.
Travel boldly.
Travel with full abandon.

You will regret few risks you take, when it comes to this. I promise you.

You won’t always be young. And life won’t always be just about you. So travel. Experience the world for all it’s worth. Become a person of culture, adventure, and compassion.

“What if I’m not young?”

Travel, anyway. It may not be easy to do, but find a way to get out of your comfort zone. It’s really never too late.

But if you haven’t gotten sucked into the routine of life yet, I implore you — travel. It will never be easier than it is right now for you to do that which really matters.

As Stefano Tonchi puts it, "what we're selling is a dream, not a garment," and, indeed, the film applies a bit of a dreaminess into what could otherwise be the nightmare of heels, traffic, and models tripping. Of course, being a real-life story and all, the doc shows the gritty parts, too— like when, for instance, the lights go off in the middle of a show, or, that time a piece of plaster hit Suzy Menkes on the head. We admit it— we're getting a bit misty-eyed. Or maybe we're just itching to get back to our "utopian village where everyone wears cute shoes," .... well, almost everyone. Yesterday, I remembered doodling my supposed-to-be blog header from last year. I wasn't able to color it until this morning because I changed my mind and didn't want to use it before. I got the idea of drawing my own banner from Danika Navarro. Initially, I thought she was making it through the computer since she's an art student and has a background in graphic design. But no. So the "feeling artist" in me grabbed the sketch pad and pencil to see if I can make one. Just a pretty or cute one. Hahaha.

After two or three or four hours, I suppose...

... here's what it looked like.  I used my Unipin 0.3 pen for the outline of letters and the background patterns and fine point black pentel pen for the shaded part surrounding the letters. Remember the patterns? This was inspired by the portfolio I submitted last year when I applied for fashion school scholarship.

I rendered color to the background using my watercolor pencils.

Then, voila! :) The final look.

I also decided to update the thumbnails for links that you can see on the right side of my blog.

I missed one more link thumbnail!!! Well anyway, I might change all of these later. (So pagkatapos mag-effort, papalitan ko rin lang naman pala.) Gusto ko terno sa drawing ko. Hehe.
