Saturday Favorites 034: Philippine Fashion Week S/S 2013 - Luxe Wear

Two days ago, my cousin and I attended the Luxewear show, one of the fashion shows for Philippine Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013 at SMX Convention Center. We brought my friend, Jaja and another cousin with us. We also got invited for the Cary Santiago show but unfortunately, we missed it since my cousin still have class at the time of the show. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed it. After all, it's fashion and art, how can we not? :)

Here are the trends we observed:
Sheer will still be in. Soft and billowy textures. Lace will make a big comeback. Neon brights and white. Lasercut details. Bigger and bolder accessories. To die for detailing. BRING SEXY BACK! It's all at the back, honey. I looooove it. :D

(I apologize for the quality of some photos.)

I had no decent photos of Martin Bautista's and Julius Tarog's collection to share. My cousin suddenly passed out at that time and we had to take care of her for a while. She was able to feel better just in time to watch the rest of the show.

October - December Listography

Lately, I had been behind with posting my monthly lists so I decided to combine in one list the things I have to accomplish for the last quarter of this year.

Oct-Dec Listography

Just look at how my list turned out from last month. It feels like I had not done anything at all. My dengue episode had made me put things on hold like, the anniversary of my online store. It made me skip work for more than a week. And I even included 'enough slacking and cramming' in my list. Ha!

September Listography accom

Still, I was able to celebrate my birthday as planned. My birthday month wasn't as bad as this list. Haha!
Except for the one annoying thing that happened -- no, that wasn't my dengue case, it's even worse than that. The one thing I was looking forward to as soon as I got out of the hospital: MAROON 5 concert.

Yes, we weren't able to watch. TO THINK WE ALREADY PAID FOR OUR TICKETS BY LAST WEEK OF AUGUST. We were this close to watching but we can't get hold of our tickets due to, according to that person, was Araneta Coliseum's fault. Which we refused to believe, by the way. Araneta had been doing concert events for years and we don't think they would put their name at risk for four people alone. They could have done something to cover it up if they were really at fault, I suppose. But then again, that was what the organizer was saying to us. We hadn't heard both sides here. However, the bottomline here is we weren't able to watch. We waited for the tickets we paid for and na-da. Until now, we still don't know what really happened. E pero nangyari na e. We got pissed off already. We missed the concert. What's the point of crying over spilled milk? We'd like to think of that night as 'shit happens' kind of night. As for the lesson we learned that night?
Never trust that person again. (We never should have trusted her, in the first place. We weren't even friends to begin with. Why did we? Maling akala nga naman.
Never buy tickets from a concert promoter ever again. (I am not trying to ruin or diss any company here. It's more of a personal reminder, a note to self kind of thing to be careful next time around.)
