This week should also have been my final review for my IELTS but due to the monsoon Gener that hit our country these past few days, I was stuck at home. The same goes for most of the Filipinos. Unfortunately though, this wasn't the case for some. There were areas that were badly affected by floods and landslides.
While others complain about lack of food or absence of electricity, there were people who do not have houses to go back to, who do not have something to eat or clothes to wear.
At this moment, we, Filipinos, must unite and work hand-in-hand in helping each other rebuild not just what was damaged in infrastructure but in moving forward as well. God has given our country another challenge. Let's not lose hope and faith. We will all get through this, with God's help.
This also serves as a big warning for all of us to value our environment. The more we waste and abuse of what is left of our surroundings, the more we should expect that something like this will eventually happen anytime in the future. Probably even worse than this one.
