Then, we headed to Dulcet Cakes and Sweets for dessert. I ordered Matcha Affogato and green tea. I didn't know what to expect with this dessert because I wasn't sure how their matcha will taste. I don't like matcha desserts that don't really taste like matcha or that has only a tinge of matcha. I was sure the presentation looked really good though. I was excited to pour the affogato in my matcha ice cream. I was even more excited with its taste! I was not disappointed. The matcha flavour was just how the way I like it. The contrast of the very bitter affogato with the very slightly sweet matcha really worked. All of us enjoyed our matcha treats. And that bear, too. Let's not forget that very-cute-you-don't-want-to-destroy-it dessert. :)

the food trip session we had yesterday
We tried out 678, a Korean barbecue restaurant near our place. (I know. We've been hanging out and eating every single weekend these past four weeks.) We ordered soy marinated wagyu beef scotch fillet, another set of meat that I cannot remember now (sorry), pan-fried Korean-style dumplings, spicy chilli pork and pork belly kimchi stew and ramen. I think we ordered just enough for the 5 of us (my brother joined us for lunch) and our appetite. But, they sat us on a small, round table that our table looked overflowing with food. They even gave us a mini table on the side so they can put the rest of our orders. Haha! We also didn't know that the spicy chilli pork and the ramen that we ordered came with a portable stove so we had two stoves on our table, apart from the grill in the middle. It was a full-on fiesta-slash-chaos in our table.

We ordered drinks - nothing hardcore, just ciders and a ginger beer. We were fooled though. It was carbonated. Hahaha! Only my brother got lucky because he ordered a legit beer. But I tell you, the food was really good. We had moments when we were just really quiet because we were busy eating and devouring the blessings on our table.

Our top two options were already unavailable! :( Those two places are in a convenient location, looks really nice, well-designed and homey, within our budget, have good reviews and really nice top/rooftop views of Berlin - which was a bonus. Huhu. But I just found another good place that ticks our boxes (except for the rooftop view - this wasn't really part of our requirement but those two previous places that we were really eyeing for had our hopes up! But hey, the building might have a rooftop that we can go and check out. Fingers crossed.) and I'm paying for this one straight away. Right after this.
