Thoughts on Justin Bieber's Purpose Tour

First of all, I cannot believe I, a 28-year old woman, am writing an entry about Justin Bieber. I'm actually, really writing about him. Hahaha!

When he first came to Sydney last year, his Purpose album was newly released. I joined a radio contest just to win tickets and see him perform live. It was just a rooftop jamming, by invite only kind of performance, if I remember correctly. So when it was announced that he will be coming to Australia for a concert, I knew I had to see him. I remember I was on my internship and almost everyone was glued to their phones once the pre-sale tickets were put on sale. My friend was trying to purchase tickets for the two of us because she got off work earlier than me. It was hard to get through the website or if you got through, it was a struggle to checkout the tickets. I couldn't wait to finish that day so I can help her purchase the tickets. Once I clocked off, I logged in on my Ticketmaster account and purchased our tickets. Luckily, at that time, it wasn't that hard to get through the website and I was able to choose seats. This was 6 months ago. They sell concert tickets here in Australia waaayyy advance.

Fast forward to 6 months later, here I was:

I bought this muscle shirt after the concert and there weren't much souvenir options left so don't laugh. I know, his printed face was ginormous. You know how much I love keepsakes so, of course, I had to buy something. (As if the ticket was not enough as a token in itself.)
His performance last night was good. It was what I expected from a pop concert - choreography, production and all that jazz. While I liked him since his 'Baby' days (YES, GO AHEAD, JUDGE ME) and I was fangirl-ing the 'Jelena', I was not a hardcore fan. I mean, sure, I enjoy his pop songs, I know the lyrics, I dance to the beat and all that. However, when the Purpose album came out, it became a different ball game. That's when he really got me. I was hooked. I really loved that album! Even his recent collaboration songs with other artists!

So to sum up what happened, here are the thoughts (more or less, these are what I remember at the very least) that came to my mind last night:

1. "Oh godfather. There are so many teenagers! Of course."
2. "Crap, am I too old for this? I'm too old for this."
3. "Oh, who cares? I want to watch him anyway!"
4. "There are kids, the whole family. Cute! And quite a number of parents here. Wow."
5. "MARTIN GARRIX on a Wednesday, why not!"

6. "Was I like that when I was a teenager?! I should ask my parents."
7. "This crowd is loud! I feel bad for the parents."
8. "I'm glad I'm seating beside less wild/more prim and proper fans!"
9. "If I'm going to be a parent, I want to be a parent who goes with their kids, if they're not old enough, to see a concert like this."
10. "Why am I even planning my parenting strategies right now?"
11. "BIIIEEEBBBSSS!!!!!"
12. "Yesssss! Oh yesssss!"

13. "No, I am not going to allow my future teenage daughter to show this much skin. "
14. "What song is he going to sing next?"
15. "Oh my gosh, he brought out the guitar!"
16. "OMG, kids these days!"
17. "What the hell, stop looking and giving side comments on your head about these teens. Huhu. I'm old."
18. "Now he's playing drums."

19. "Wait, is that it? That doesn't seem to be a fitting finale song!"
20. "Nah, he'll come out. I bet he will sing one more song."

21. "Being squished inside the train so we can all get home is not fun."
22. "I hope the parents enjoyed somehow. Why am I so worried about the parents? Lol!"
23. "Oh good heavens, I have work tomorrow." *sets alarm and counts how many hours of sleep before waking up again*
24. "That was a good one, Biebs. Thank you."

Yes, I showed up for work today. On time and functional employee, too. Haha! :)
