Around two months ago, I bought this silver trimming which I really have no idea what to use it for. Until today. :)
1. Needle
2. Silver trimming
3. Satin ribbon
4. Thread (Note: I don't know why I picked white thread for this photo. I used black instead.)
5. Scissors
Measure the length of the trimming you are going to use according to the circumference of your head. It's up to you how long you would want it to be, either shorter or longer than the half of the circumference of your head. Mine's almost half.
Mark and cut the length that you need. (Ha! Did you see that?? Yeah, I used a different scissor than the photo.)
Cut at least 7 to 8 inches for the ribbon that you will use to tie the headpiece on to your head. You can cut it longer than I did, if you prefer.
Attach one end of the ribbon to one of the trimming.
Then sew the ribbon on to the trimming. Make sure to fold a bit of the ribbon end before sewing to avoid loose threads later on. :) Do it on the other end of your trimming as well.
Cut another 2 to 3 inches of the ribbon and wrap it on to the sewn part to cover the ends properly and make it more polished. Again, do the same on the other end of your trimming as well.
Cut the excess.
Sew the wrapped ribbon on to the trimming and the first ribbon you sewed. Make sure that the seam will not go through the other side though. Do it on the other end of the trimming as well.
Sew the other ends of the ribbon to avoid loose threads.
Boom, there you go. Piece of cake. :)
Yeah, don't mind my face. You get the purpose of the photos. :)
