I sort of saw it coming.

It has been in my mail for 10 days already! I didn't bother to check my mail since last week.
Oh well. At least I tried. :l
No fashion school for me. Just yet.

I am not a die-hard fan of height-giving shoes but I have to say, her shoe collection are very eye-candy. Plus two-thumbs up on the organization! :)

Step 2!

Today is one of those days wherein both excitement and anxiety drained my energy.

I had my interview for my scholarship application at SoFA. I got soooo nervous the moment I walked in at the place. The girl who texted me regarding my interview met me at the school's lobby and asked if I could wait because Ms. Amina Aranaz-Alunan hasn't arrived yet. When she dropped that name bomb, I almost died. OMG. Aside from the fact that she's a SoFA co-founder, I know I'll just be starstruck and probably intimitated because first she owns that school; second, she's one of the Manila's style icons and third, if you know Philippine fashion and read Philippine fashion magazine, you definitely know who she is and you don't need to hear the first two reasons. So I waited for like 30 minutes or so -- which was just fine, not that I am being sarcastic or anything. Thank God my cousin was with me again that day to talk my nervousness and the time away. While both of us were waiting, I saw familiar faces -- Ms. Loralee Baron-Soong, Patricia Prieto. Then suddenly, I was called. It was Ms. Annaly Leticia Elegado-Morales that interviewed me first. It lasted for about 15-20 minutes I think. I think I did okay but when she asked me what am I doing now, I think she was surprised when I answered her, "Nothing much." Well, not that I there's nothing to do. I am applying for work and fixing my 'papers' in relation to my earned degree, I just do nothing in relation to fashion. But I plan to learn sewing (on a machine) and patternmaking. But of course, I wasn't able to say that and OMG, I don't know why. Ugh. Then after that question, she told me that Ms. Amina still has to interview me and I should just wait outside. When I got out of that room, which I think is their faculty room, there were two people sitting beside my cousin -- a girl and a boy. I was surprised because I totally know that boy. We came from the same high school alma mater and his brother was my teammate in our high school cheering squad. He was with his girlfriend who is also for an interview for a scholarship application. I didn't talk to him though until I was done with the interview with Ms. Amina because I was too preoccupied with my first interview. Ack! Anyway, when Ms. Amina arrived and walked in at the lobby, my eyes seemed to have popped out of their sockets because she was really beautiful and glamorous. I want to be like her when I reach her age. My cousin and I were like, "Oh my gosh, ANG GANDA NYA!" Then before I was called in again, she was walking back and forth because she was looking for a place where we can sit down and she can interview me (It is a small school and it is also the students' finals so every room is preoccupied). Aside from her beauty, the thing that also caught my eye is that her left hand is HOLDING MY PORTFOLIO and application!!! It was like a privileged moment for me to see. Hahaha! Forgive my over-reaction. I can't help it. Hahaha! So I was called in and she interviewed me. She asked almost the same questions with Ms. Annaly. And of course, there are things that I wasn't able to say. OMG, I am such a fail. But hey, I met and I was able to talk to Ms. Amina Aranaz-Alunan, which is a good thing. Before the interview ended, she explained to me that they are only giving one scholarship, which is the one year fashion design because the school already promised the two scholarships, one four-year course and one two-year course, to whoever wins that Cebu fashion competition. Definitely that one scholarship is a tough competition between all applicants so I wish myself and the rest of the applicants a big good luck.

In general, I think my interview was just okay. In as much as I'd like to think that it's good or well done, I just can't. Looking back, I think I had okay-answers, nothing impressive. I had so much to say that I didn't know where to start and I just wasn't able to say some or at least half if it. Aaaaack! Oh well, if I really do deserve it, if they saw talent in my portfolio and if that scholarship is for me then I'll be the luckiest girl on earth. Haha! And if I don't, well, let's see if I can talk the tuition out with my parents.

On the lighter side of things, these are my random sketches of dresses that that my friend asked me to do for her.

Surprise Text. :)

OH-EM-GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While I was busy watching a movie, I got a text!!!!!

Of course, I am not going to show the number of the girl who texted me because for all we know, it might be her personal number and not the company number.

Uh-huh, YEAH!!! :) They'll be interviewing me this Thursday!!! :) I was surprised to receive this text sooner than I expected and the mere fact that they contacted me for an interview didn't sink into me until a few hours later. I am trying not to be excited and not to panic so I am not going to think about it further. Let's just pray to God, cross our fingers, and hope for the best. :)
