here's what i wrote in our journal writing in english...

dear shiny orange filler,

oh gosh! i can't believe this! it's been a month since i entered college life! so overwhelming! but you know what, college life isn't easy... well, when i was in high school, i thought college life or being in college is kinda cool because you have more freedom, you control your own time and your own life, you can do things which you can't do in high school since you're bounded by school rules and regulations, you decide on your own, choices are right in front of you and all you have to do is choose and many other things... but when i entered college i, myself, found out that life here is sometimes cool and fun but sometimes it isn't... my perception in college is true, it's cool but it also has its own disadvantages. like for instance, since i have more freedom now, i'm missing my family back in cavite because i'm living here in quezon city with my aunt and uncle. i also miss my service driver, mang ernie, because now i need to commute by myself and worse, i have to commute when it rains and it sucks because i don't like getting wet from the rain , ironing my clothes, making my own breakfast , buying my own books and i have to commute on my own not unlike in high school and elementary, once i got out from my classroom, my service is already waiting for me. and here's another one, since in college you can do whatever you want, it means you can wear whatever you want, right? but i was wrong again for the second time! i'm still bounded by the rules and regulations of the university! oh crap! i even made an effort to buy lots of dangling earrings, colored my hair after our graduation and bought a lot of big, chunky watches and other accessories -- such a waste! and since i decide on my own and choices are already right in front of me, i have to choose wisely. i have to choose what's right. college life is not all about what's cool and what's fun, it's all about what's right and what's within your limitations...
